Last week, I had an absolutely wonderful, unexpected, fabulous, and all other superlatives, visit from my cousin and her family, three kids aged 11, 14 and 15 (or there abouts). Catching up on all of their activities and interests, at some point I realized I they were expressing a large dose of what I call the ‘neggies’ (I don’t wanna, I’m too tired, that’s wrong, you shouldn’t, I’m/it’s not good enough). Addressing one particular incident they were telling me about, I suggested that good coaches will work on your strengths, instead of your weaknesses.
Lo and behold, this week’s HBR conveniently reinforced this. Positive serendipity in action – don’t you love it!.
